FAQ

How can students determine which part of their work has been flagged?

Flag for plagiarism: Students should review their work to identify if there is any information missing appropriate attribution, citation, and/or a corresponding bibliography entry. Students should also review their Turnitin originality reports to confirm that all highlighted parts of their work have correct attribution, citation, or a bibliographic entry. If a student has evidence to prove all the information in their work was attributed, cited, or from a source listed in the bibliography, the student should reply to the email communication sent from [email protected] and include the supporting evidence.

Flag for falsification or fabrication of information: Students should review their work to identify if it includes any falsified or fabricated data, sources, or authors. If a student has evidence to prove all the information referenced in their work is authentic, the student should reply to the email communication sent from [email protected] and include the supporting evidence.

Flags for unacceptable use of AI: Students should review their work to identify if it includes unacceptable use of AI. Students must monitor the development of their work through a series of required checkpoints throughout the school year administered by trained AP Seminar and AP Research teachers. If a student has evidence to prove all the information in their work was not generated by an unacceptable use of AI as outlined in the 2023-24 Guidance for Artificial Intelligence Tools and Other Services, the student should reply to the email communication sent from [email protected] and include the supporting evidence.
